Biobhotec Pvt. Ltd. is a renewable energy company in Zimbabwe that is addressing the energy crisis by focusing on heavy industries, commercial complexes, and residential households. Biobhotec is the lead company behind the larger compressed biogas and industrial digester projects, while BioEase Energy Solutions focuses on household and small-commercial digester solutions.
Both companies were founded in 2019 by Admire Bosha, with the goal of offering renewable energy solutions in Africa.
Biobhotec received a $10,000 award from the SMEDCO-HIT business competition in 2021 to begin operations. By 2022, Biobhotec had produced it's first fully functional domestic biodigesters in partnership with the Harare Institute of Technology, Technopreneurial University, under it's incubator program.
To date, the comany has 100 operational digesters serving homes, farms and businesses across rural Zimbabwe.
These systems support everyday energy needs, including water heating, cooking, pumping water into homes, refrigeration, and lighting.
Biobhotec’s Compressed Biogas Vision

Large-Scale Compressed Biogas Production
Biobhotec is developing an industrial compressed biogas plant designed to produce renewable fuel locally in Zimbabwe. The goal is to create a reliable domestic alternative to imported fossil fuels while supporting cleaner energy access for communities, businesses, and power-generation needs.

Portable CBG/CNG Cylinder Distribution
The project plans to make compressed biogas available through portable cylinders, giving households, businesses, and small commercial users a practical way to access cleaner fuel. This approach can help serve communities that are not connected to traditional gas pipelines or reliable grid infrastructure.

Affordable Cleaner Fuel for Local Markets
Biobhotec’s model focuses on producing compressed biogas at a more affordable price point than imported Liquefied Petroleum Gas and other fossil-fuel alternatives.
By creating fuel from organic and agricultural waste, the project aims to reduce energy costs while supporting a more environmentally responsible fuel supply.
